Rounding Off To Nearest 10

Rounding off To Nearest 10:

Rounding means making a number simpler but keeping its value close to what it was. The result is less accurate, but easier to use.

If the digit in the ones place is 1, 2, 3and 4 we round off the number to the same tens.

If the digit in the ones place is 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 we round off the number to the next tens.

Round off the numbers to the nearest 10.:

For Example: Round 86 to the nearest 10.

Solution:

As the digit at the ones place is 6, which is greater than 5, Let us round off to the next ten.

86 rounded to the nearest ten is 90.
